*Purpose:*
Black Comic Lords’ multi-platform social media spaces are committed to providing a platform for Black Comic Book Writers, Artists and Publishers to showcase their work. This policy outlines the criteria and guidelines for interviews conducted by BCL.
*Criteria for Interviews:*
1. *Advance Copy:* A digital (.pdf) copy of the book(s) must be provided to BCL at least one (1) week prior to the scheduled interview date.
2. *Physical Copies:* Four (4) signed physical copies of the book(s) to be reviewed must be provided to BCL for promotional purposes.
3. *Donation:* A suggested donation of $40 is appreciated for a dedicated show featuring the interview. Alternatively, a 10-minute airtime slot on our Wednesday Wrap-Up show is available at no cost to the creators.
4. *Profile Picture:* A profile picture of the creator(s) must be provided to BCL at least one (1) week prior to the scheduled interview date for promotional purposes.
*Rights and Responsibilities:*
1. *BCL Reserves the Right:* BCL reserves the right to agree to or decline any interview requests at our sole discretion.
2. *Content Ownership:* The creator(s) retain all rights to their work, including the book(s) and any promotional materials provided to BCL.
3. *Promotional Use:* BCL may use the provided promotional materials, including the profile picture and book cover, for promotional purposes only.
*Payment and Refund Policy:*
1. *Donation:* The suggested donation is non-refundable, except in cases where BCL cancels the interview.
2. *Refund:* In the event of cancellation, BCL will refund the donation in full.
*Governing Law:*
This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising out of or related to this policy shall be resolved through binding arbitration, mediation, or alternative dispute resolution governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
*Changes to Policy:*
BCL reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the creator(s) to review this policy prior to submitting an interview request.
*Acknowledgement:*
By submitting an interview request, the creator(s) acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
