Meteor man #1

Year: 1993

Significance: This is the first appearance of Meteor man in an ongoing series. Robert Townsend is the first black man to ever have his superhero creation picked up by Marvel Comics, the second being Kevin Grevioux with Blue Marvel. This is nothing to ignore…Its 1993 and black creators were still shut out from having creative control. For him to not be a comic book creative and have this 6 issue series is impressive, to say the least.
